Hi, my name is Oksana. I started my tech career in 2015 after having worked as a podium dancer, an administration officer and a teacher (you can read more about why I changed here). My biggest passion and love (after my family and Gillian Anderson) is AWS. Since I first started working with it in 2020, I’ve been completely hooked. There is an unmistakable, rewarding thrill in seeing how all the disparate pieces fit together—taking foundational building blocks like an S3 bucket, Cloudfront, ALB, a VPC, to name but a few, and wiring them up into something powerful, resilient, and alive. To me, working in the cloud never really feels like routine work. It’s an endless stream of puzzle-solving. Whether it’s figuring out a subtle IAM permission, discovering a clever optimization, or working out where in the Route53 console we can find a VPC association, every solved problem brings that same spark of satisfaction. AWS is a massive, living ecosystem, and the best part is that you never truly stop learning. There’s always another layer to explore, a new service to master, or a smarter way to architect a solution. That constant evolution is what keeps me endlessly fascinated by what’s possible—and it’s why I’m always eager to keep building, keep learning, and see what we can create next.
My other interests include cooking (and eating!), dancing salsa and bachata, and languages (I can speak Spanish, a bit of Italian, and can read Greek; I would love to learn Arabic or Chinese next)
